After two LONG days in the car, we were all ready for a break to see Jacob's sister, Bethany, and her family in Paris, Tennessee. We met up at a park near their house and the kids had a blast playing together.
Fifteen cities in the US are named for the French capital, but only three have a replica of the Eiffel Tower so we spent some time getting pictures of the kids in front of the Tennessee version.
Cousins (and the girl they were babysitting) in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Auntie Beth loving on Ellie. Asher and Ellie had fun playing together.
There was a short trail through the park and the kids had fun going on a walk.
Silly cousin pictures!
Ellie and Asher playing in the dirt and rocks- they were filthy by the time we left. Paris is a small town and didn't have very many lunch options so we ended up at the Mexican restaurant in town.
After a fun afternoon in Paris, we had to say goodbye and continue driving to Nashville for the night. Our neighbor recommended Cock of the Walk for dinner and we were not disappointed! We dined on catfish fillet, chicken fingers, shrimp and the most amazing cornbread. Lexie thought the pickled onions were the best part of the meal and ate the whole bowl!
The kids all got a kick out of the giant rocking chair in the entryway.
