We were at Disneyland bright and early, excited for a full day of fun. Our first stop was family pictures in front of the 60th Celebration sign.
I love walking down Main Street early in the morning when everything is alive with an excited energy.
Dumbo was the first ride of the day since we missed it last time we went to Disney World.
The teacups are always fun! And they're Auntie Janne's favorite (she, Uncle Adam and Hannah were with us though there aren't any pictures of them :( ).
Going for a spin on the King Arthur Carrousel with Grandma and Grandpa
She thought the carousel was the best thing ever.
Trying to get the sword out of the stone- sadly, none were successful.
Ultimately, I think "it's a small world" was Ellie's favorite ride of the day. Lexie chauffeured me around on the Autopia-- she has LOTS of practicing to do before she gets a driver's license.
We ran into Peter Pan and the kids had a great time talking to him all about Neverland. Lexie finally got up the nerve to go on Space Mountain and she LOVED it!
Churro time! Nothing says Disneyland quite like a churro break!
What could it be? Hmmm.... I think I'll try it....
Nothing beats a Dole Whip Float when it's hot out-- except maybe enjoying a Dole Whip Float in the air-conditioned Tiki Room!
Mountain fun: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Space Mountain :)
We ran into Truck Grandpa and the MacCulloch's-- it was fun to say hi and take some group pictures!
The delicious Matterhorn Macaroon from the Jolly Holiday Bakery (where we had a great dinner!) and the Matterhorn "Volcano" during the fireworks show.
Growing up, our family LOVED watching the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland (and we still do at Disney World), so everyone was excited to see Paint the Night, the new nighttime parade at Disneyland.
Paint the Night has over one million lights and an energetic soundtrack making it a definite crowd pleaser!
While the kids loved seeing Lightning McQueen, Mack and the dancers definitely stole the show.
The Little Mermaid
The jellyfish, reminiscent of the spinning turtles in the Main Street Electrical Parade, were my favorite!
Ellie watched the parade completely mesmerized! The Toy Story and Frozen floats were the kids' favorites, and of course, Mickey at the end!
All too quickly it was time to say "goodnight" and "see you real soon" to Disneyland. We can't wait to go back again!
Auntie Janne and Hannah are in the background of your teacups pic! Photo proof they were there, too! Nice post - twas a fun time!
ReplyDeleteOh, you're right; I hadn't noticed! And yes, it was a fun time-- guess we'll have to go again! :)
