day 52: a lunch date

I took Ben and Lexie to child care this morning so that Nick and I could go on a lunch date by ourselves.  After I picked Nick up from school and filled him in on the surprise (he was sooooo excited) we went to the Airborne and Special Operations Museum to check out the Field of Glory.

This living display of heroism serves as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of Americans, and will honor all who are currently serving, those who have served, and those men and women who have made the supreme sacrifice for our nation's security and freedom.

When we were done checking out the Field of Glory, we headed downtown to have lunch at Subway (Nick's pick!).  To finish up our lunch date, we went to Barnes and Noble to browse the books, play with the trains, and have a snack at Starbucks.  All in all, it was a great date- and Nick wants to do it again tomorrow!!
